With the evolution of digital marketing, the base of marketing and promotion has entirely changed. This change has brought a revolution in the marketing industry. Among all, SEO or search engine optimization has emerged as a heart of digital marketing. Anyone, who wants to effectively market on the online platforms, essentially has to take the help of SEO practices.

SEO (Search engine optimization) is the process of making a web page easy to find, easy to crawl, and easy to categorize. It is about helping your customers find out your business from among a thousand other companies. SEO is the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website. And to do that, one must ensure the website ranks higher in the search engine result page.

As an important step of an effective SEO process is at first Keyword research. Unless you don’t know what people are searching on the internet and what information they are looking for, it’s almost impossible to start an SEO campaign. Then you need to use the right keywords on relevant content and communicate it with your target market. While content marketing and SEO are two different tactics, but they should both working together to help each other. SEO is more on the technical side while content marketing is broader and they should overlap and each affects the other’s effectiveness.

All in all, to create a successful SEO campaign, you need to plan your strategy well in advance, constantly keep track of keyword rankings, backlinks, and other ranking factors. Then you will know where and how to strengthen your SEO efforts.

These key topics are what we learned in the workshop (Be Successful Online: Bei Google ganz vorne mit SEO, Ads und Local Listing) held by RankingCoach GmbH and Google-Deutschland in Hamburg. Such a fruitful workshop that updated us with new trends of Search Engine Optimisation to make a better online campaign and to strengthen brand reputation in the online world.
